The Redfield School Foundation’s grant program invites school staff to submit proposals that respond to priorities identified by the board of directors. Because the nature and intention of the grant program is to respond to current needs within the school, the board will develop and revise guidelines on an ongoing basis. The grant making program’s priorities and guidelines will be developed in consultation with the School Board, administration, and staff. Gifts to the Foundation will be invested in a fund, the earnings of which will be used to fund the grant program.

Since its founding, the Foundation has provided almost $31,000 in grants for school projects. Grants have included:

    ·         Textbooks for a staff development program

    ·         Library materials for the Turtle Creek Youth Program for students with special needs

    ·         Computer software for students who have speech and hearing problems

    ·         Playground equipment for preschool students

    ·         Standards-based math program that tracks individual students’ mastery of skills
