Elementary Student Council:
Redfield Elementary Student Council is comprised of 5th and 6th grade students that are elected by their classmates. Throughout the year we engage in numerous community and school service projects such as delivering art projects to our veterans and senior citizens at Valentine’s Day and Veteran’s Day, and provide daycare during PTSA meetings. These students are also in charge of running our school store, monitor our numerous recycling projects, volunteer their time to decorate our lunchroom bulletin boards each month, and this year acted at our greeters and guides on our first ever Grandparent’s day!
This group of students has proven to be trustworthy and responsible as they have rallied for changes in our school and in turn have learned valuable lessons in democracy and the art of negotiation. These students have a great start in learning leadership skills and will be a tremendous asset to society!
