Hello student, parents, and guardians! I’m the 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts and 8th grade Spanish teacher!
I have lived in Aberdeen for the past 15 years with my husband and 3 children. My husband is originally from Frederick, South Dakota so after he retired from the Air Force in 2006, we decided to move to Aberdeen. We have lived in many places and moved every time my husband received orders from the Air Force. We have lived at Keflavik, Iceland NATO Base, Mountain Home Air Force base, Idaho, Tyndall Air Force base, Florida, and Holloman AFB, Alamogordo, New Mexico.
I am an alumnus of Northern State University. My double majors are in Elementary K-8, Special Education K-12, and a minor in Reading K-8. I am working on a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. My next goal is to then earn an endorsement in Drivers Education!
I have worked at the Aberdeen, South Dakota Middle Schools as an 8th grade Spanish teacher for 2 years, in the Special Education classroom as a para for 3 years, and in Gilbert, Arizona as a kindergarten through 6th grade Reading Specialist for 1 year.
I am excited about my second year of working in the Redfield Schools as a middle school 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts, 8th grade homeroom, 8th grade Spanish, and study hall teacher! We will be very busy! Have a productive and great year!!!
